Yes, absolutely. Here's how we ensure it:
- Vinegar marinade: we marinate the meat in gluten free white vinegar, which has strong natural antimicrobial properties
- Salt cure: we rub the meat with salt, which draws out moisture and kills surface bacteria
- Air drying for 7 days: removing all moisture is critical to preventing bacterial growth
- Oxygen absorber + sealed packaging: every bag contains an oxygen absorber to prevent moisture and bacteria forming inside the sealed packet
Our meat sticks have a shelf life of 14 months from packaging. Once opened, we recommend consuming within 14 days.
